Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use custom text for the stamp?
Yes. You can type any text up to 20 characters in the custom text field. The preset buttons (APPROVED, DRAFT, RECEIVED, CONFIDENTIAL, COPY, VOID) are just quick-fill shortcuts.
Is the stamp permanent or can it be edited after download?
The stamp text is drawn directly onto each page using pdf-lib and cannot be edited after download. If you need a different text, position, or colour, run the tool again on the original PDF.
Which positions can I place the stamp?
You can place the stamp at Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, or Top Center of every page. The stamp is placed with a 20pt margin from the page edge.
Which stamp colours are supported?
Red, Blue, Green, and Black. The stamp uses that colour for both the text and the border rectangle, with 90% opacity to keep it visible without fully obscuring page content.
What is the difference between a stamp and a watermark?
A watermark is typically a large, semi-transparent diagonal text across the centre of the page (like the PDF Watermark tool). A stamp is a smaller, bordered text box placed at a corner or edge — more like a physical rubber stamp on a document.
